Since 1992, the Discovery PTSA has honored outstanding volunteer service by awarding the Golden Acorn Award annually. The Golden Acorn Award is a PTSA award, whose recipients volunteer in ways that truly meet the PTSA mission. It is an award given for continued and dedicated service to ALL children within our community. Award recipients receive the Golden Acorn Award Pin and a special certificate from the Washington State PTSA. The Council also contributes $65 in the recipients name to the Washington State PTSA Scholarship Foundation. Please help us select volunteers from our community who will receive a Golden Acorn Award this year. Through your recommendations, the Golden Acorn Committee will make the final selections.
