***First Yearbook Sale of the Year***

Unlike other years, we did not have yearbook sales at the beginning of the school year. Therefore, if you haven’t yet bought your yearbook this month, NOW is the time! They’re just $15 for a lifetime of elementary school memories. Please make checks payable to Discovery Elementary PTSA, write “Yearbook” on the subject line, and turn them in to your teacher along with the blue form that came home. Questions? In case of weather (or other) emergencies, please listen to the radio, watch TV, or check the district website rather that calling the school. Decisions on late starts, early dismissals, etc. are made at the district level. We do not have additional (or early) information here at the school, and we really need to keep our phone lines open for emergency situations. Every family should have received the district’s Emergency Transportation Bulletin. The district website also provides information at www.issaquah.wednet.edu. Please take time to review the emergency bulletin. No matter how clear we try to be, the information can be confusing.

This Holiday Gift Drive is Nov 26th though Nov 30th. Please be sure to have your signed permission slips returned to school by November 21st so your child can choose a gift tag.

This program coordinates donations for those in need within our district over the holidays. This is truly a rewarding experience, if you would like to help with this amazing program please contact Lea Bachman at leaslater@yahoo.com or 392-3946.

We are having are 2nd annual Staff Cookie Exchange on Wednesday December 12th. Please help show your appreciation for all the staff at Discovery Elementary by baking (or buying) 3 dozen of your favorite holiday treats and dropping them off in the office no later than Tuesday December 11th.
