This Month's Update
Hello, Bonjour, Hola, Namaste and Hejsa
How many ways do you know how to say “hello?” Come take a journey across the world at the Discovery Elementary Cultural Event night and see if you can learn more ways to say hello, and learn a little about the diverse cultures of our students at Discovery! Please mark February 3rd on your calendar for this free event in the MPR from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be professional dancers, dances by our own Discovery kids, and a special performance by Discovery’s choir.
Stanford testing begins next week on February 1st and goes until February 5th. To ensure our children do their best, please make sure they are well rested and have fuel for their brains by having a good breakfast.
Golden Acorn award nominations are being accepted in February. There are many teachers, parents and faculty members that go above and beyond to provide the best for our Discovery Community. Please take a moment to nominate these deserving individuals to let them know how much we appreciate what they do for our kids.
VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!
Please mail in your ballot for this upcoming King County Election on the Issaquah School District Levy.
Thank you!
Shelly Russell & Ken Peatross, Jr.
